Canal Clean Up

On Saturday 22nd May, several members of the club joined in with other volunteers to take part in the Dublin Canals Action Day. 

This is an initiative by Waterways Ireland (WI) to get communities involved in the maintaining of their local canal. As we consider ourselves a city-base club we volunteered to help out in Spencer Dock.

WI are keen to develop Spencer Dock as a venue for open water swimming training and this is something that, as a club, we are wholeheartedly behind. There will be further events coming up in Spencer Dock in the near future and we hope that we can count on the same levels of support that we saw on Saturday.
